Hello--Bob Pirrie here from E. O. Smith High School in Storrs, CT, USA. I am hoping I can make a connection with a school in the arctic. I'd like to have my students say "hello" on 9/24, but I'd also like to invite that school to participate in a project here at our school, in which my students will be creating a "wiki" on climate change. A wiki is a collaborative website--it'd be great to get some contributions from some people who have a definite stake in the issue. I can help you with how to participate in the wiki--in fact, the first place you can start is to go to http://www.wikispaces.com/
to get a better sense of wikis--this is the site we'll be using in our project.
Cheers,
Bob Pirrie
Hello from Homer, Alaska! Whew... It looks like we got signed on in time.
We are hoping to listen to the radio broadcast tomorrow. Our class is studying polar science and collaborating with a class in Tazmania on writing a mystery story.
we are excited to be a part of this!
